Frequently Asked Questions
business profile
This profile is used for entities (businesses/groups) and individuals to create their own landing page that allows them to create dance events and job postings. Aside from their basic info and media, the page displays their event schedules. After completing a business profile, the events created will link to the profile and be featured on the page. For instance, a studio that creates classes, socials and performances will have three different schedules appearing on their page; jobs and auditions also appear atop the page. The main profile is meant to be used by many types of groups and organizations, including bands that perform live dance music or even a museum that hosts dance film screenings. This profile is separate from the Artist and Partnership profiles; though, an independent teacher, for example, may create identical Artist and Business profiles using the same media and content; and a studio owner can still promote themselves individually as an instructor/performer with an Artist profile.
artist profile
While this page was mainly developed to make dancers and dance instructors more accessible, this feature is for all individual artists, groups and ensembles. Yes, this is a dance platform; but what is dance without musicians?―visual artists to capture the evanescent artifacts of an embodied art? Put yourself out there to get hired for gigs or collaborate with fellow artists. This is a great way for independent artists to make themselves more accessible.
partnership profile
This is for anyone searching for a dance partner.
organizations page
The purpose of this page is to be a comprehensive list of non-profits, groups, and any dance related entities.
tags/searches
By adding tags when you create an event or profile, you ensure that it can be found when those words are included in a search. The title and description are also parsed for searches.
